Over the weekend I went to Ocean City, Md., for this first time since I was 18 years old. Surprise: I didn’t remember anything from when I was there in 2002! In which of the boardwalk piercing shops did I allow a tattooed bro to poke two holes flanking my eyebrow? I guess I’ll never know.

Kenny Powers was there, and everyone smoked cigarettes. Nice kites!

It was the 23rd annual Cruisin’ Ocean City. I saw vanity plates, monster trucks, and exhaust pipes. The most disgusting decal was the silhouette of a woman with her underwear around her ankles that said “I like ‘em dropped.” Oh great, I found it.

Some character traits and plot lines in The Big Wedding:

Robert DeNiro is a sculptor whose body of work includes renditions of a woman masturbating and a bust of his son and future daughter-in-law. Every time he sold a sculpture over the years, they put an addition on the house - he’s THAT good.

Katherine Heigl is unable to bear children, so she broke up with her boyfriend to spare him. Halfway through the movie, she’s magically pregnant, but not before 1) trying to smoke a cigarette in a hospital waiting room and 2) throwing her half-drunk martini + glass into a pool before diving in.

Topher Grace is a 29-year-old doctor and virgin. He (spoiler alert) loses his V when he fucks the sister in his adopted brother’s biological Colombian family.

Diane Keaton is divorced from Robert DeNiro, who is now in a relationship her former best friend, Susan Sarandon. While Diane Keaton and Robert DeNiro are pretending to be married so they don’t offend their adopted son’s biological mother with their divorce, they fuck (specifically, it’s mentioned a number of times, for 40 minutes). Susan Sarandon forgives Robert DeNiro pretty immediately, though, and he proposes to her at his son’s wedding to Amanda Seyfried. Robin Williams is the Catholic priest who marries both couples and he’s inexplicably wearing some sort of dashiki thing over his robes.
